If you ever try to research “space truss geometry” Quadror will pop up repeatedly. At first I was excited about a clever minimalist structural solution but the ‘joint’ is about all there is as far as I can see. I love that it all comes from flat pieces cleverly arranged without any glue or bolts. But it’s application is not as diverse as you would hope. A wall is about as much as I’ve seen and folding trestles are not new. It just doesn’t do ‘wall’ and ‘truss’ a whole lot better than what’s come before. It is not as revolutionary as they make it sound and the suggested applications are not convincing. I think it’s over-published and over-financed but definitely fun!
